Peer Assistance and Review (PAR) Consulting Teacher (In-House Vacancy Only)

Requirements / Qualifications A Consulting Teacher is a teacher who provides assistance to a Participating Teacher pursuant to the PAR Program. Applicants must meet the following criteria in order be considered for the PAR Consulting Teacher position: • A credentialed classroom teacher with permanent status with COE and at least three (3) consecutive years of employment with the COE. • Substantial recent experience in classroom instruction. • Can demonstrate exemplary teaching ability by effective communication skills, subject matter knowledge, and mastery of a range of teaching strategies necessary to meet the needs of pupils in different context. The following questions are included in the online application: 1. Please describe your previous mentoring experience. 2. What do you consider the most important traits and skills for teachers and for mentors. 3. Please describe your experience working with diverse staff, program and student populations.
