Summary
This position is a part of the Morale, Welfare & Recreation Division (MWR) of Navy Region Southwest (NRSW). The purpose of this position is to maintain storage layouts, space utilization, stock arrangement, & traffic flow to regulations. Receives, stores, ships, & inventories materials & equipment. Coordinates inbound & outbound shipments, operates forklifts & vehicles, guides staff, & performs physically demanding work in indoor & outdoor warehouse environments. Located at Naval Base Coronado.
Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of the overall warehousing plan, documentation requirements, and accepted warehousing methods, procedures, and techniques. Ability to lay out storage space and establish item and material locations in accordance with agency regulations. Ability to prepare inventory and production reports, screen and identify shipping and receiving documents for discrepancies, and direct shipments to shipping or storage areas. Skill in use of vehicles and forklifts - a driver's license is required. Able to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods of time. Bends, stoops, and works in tiring and sometimes uncomfortable positions. May lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds. Heavier items are moved with weight handling equipment or with assistance from other workers. Able to work in Work is performed inside or outside in areas that may be hot, damp, cold, drafty, or poorly lighted. May be required to wear protective clothing.

Altered transcripts will not be accepted. Transcripts from foreign colleges must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency in order to be considered. Applicants are responsible to obtain and submit proof of creditability of education as evaluated by a credentialing agency which is a private U.S. organization. Credential evaluations are not free and applicants are responsible for the cost of the selected service. Foreign high school transcripts or diplomas do not require credential evaluation but must be in English or a certified translation.
