Requirements / Qualifications Ed-Join Classified Application Must be at least 18 years of age EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and one year of paid or volunteer experience working in a school setting with children, and one year of training or volunteer experience preparing material in Braille. Certification as a Braille Transcriber by the Library of Congress may be substituted for the Braille experience. Licenses and other Requirements: Valid Library of Congress Certificate of Efficiency as a Braille Transcriber must be obtained within one year of employment in the classification. Comments and Other Information BENEFITS: A Benefit Entitlement for health, dental and vision coverage is available for positions that are at least 4 hours per day. The amount of the entitlement is based on the number of hours worked per day. Meeting the minimum qualifications for a position does not assure the candidate of an interview.
