College and Career Success Teacher (High School)

Requirements / Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: Required • Bachelor's degree required; experience in school counseling, college advising, or a related student-support role. • Teaching credential required. • Demonstrated experience supporting students with test preparation, college planning, or life-skills instruction. • Knowledge of A-G requirements, UC/CSU admissions, dual enrollment, and financial aid processes. • Strong organizational skills and comfort using student data to inform practice. • Ability to work collaboratively with counselors, teachers, and outside partners (e.g., Peralta Community College District, Genesys Works). Preferred • Credential or certification in school counseling, or equivalent experience in college access/advising work • Experience with Naviance or similar college/career planning platforms. • Bilingual or multilingual, reflecting the languages spoken by AIMS families.
