Summary
This position is in the U.S. Department of Education (ED), Federal Student Aid (FSA), Technology Directorate (TD). The Technology Directorate provides information technology services for all FSA systems, promoting the effective and secure use of technology to achieve FSA's strategic objectives through sound planning, investments, integrated technology architectures and standards, effective systems development, production support, and cybersecurity services.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification Requirements You may meet the minimum qualifications for the GS-12, if you possess the specialize experience. Specialized Experience for the GS-12 One year of experience in either federal or non-federal service that is equivalent to at least a GS-11 performing two (2) out of three (3) of the following duties or work assignments: 1. Experience reviewing and editing federal or private sector publications to ensure conformance with federal and/or state agencies or private sector editorial policy, Title 44, and copyright requirements; providing technical assistance to authors and program offices. 2. Experience coordinating manuscripts through clearance, printing, and web posting, resolving conflicts among stakeholders and maintaining schedules to meet public-release deadlines. 3. Experience tailoring publications and web content to multiple target audiences (e.g., parents, educators, policymakers) and recommending improvements that advance federal and/or state agencies or business sector mission objectives. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) The quality of your experience will be measured by the extent to which you possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs). The U.S. Department of Education (ED) has interagency agreements (IAAs) with other agencies to ensure efficient delivery of funded programs and activities and move closer to fulfilling the President's promise to return education to the states.
