Summary
Join NASA's Office of Strategic Infrastructure (OSI) as the JPL Site Environmental Technical Manager and help enable mission success through environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance. You will provide technical leadership for complex environmental programs supporting JPL's mission operations, infrastructure, construction, and facilities while ensuring compliance with federal environmental requirements.
Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level: Providing technical leadership or oversight for complex environmental compliance programs; Interpreting and applying federal environmental laws and regulations, such as NEPA, CERCLA, or Section 106 requirements; Managing environmental permitting, reporting, regulatory coordination, or remediation activities; Advising leadership on complex environmental compliance issues, risks, and requirements affecting facilities, infrastructure, or operations. * The following training is preferred but not required for this position: Resource Conservation and Recovery Act Information (RCRA) Hazardous Waste Generator Training, California Universal Waste Training (22 CCR 66273.36), RCRAInfo Training, DOT Hazmat Employee Training under 49 CFR 172.704, California Certified Emission Reductions (CERS) / Tier II Reporting Training Your resume must include a clear and detailed narrative description, in your own words, of how you meet the required specialized experience.
