ABOUT US
School of Imagination is an inclusive early childhood education and therapy center serving children birth through 5. Speech, OT, ABA, infant development, and our preschool operate as one team under one roof. Our mission: bring out the extraordinary in every child.
THE ROLE
OT here is a core clinical partner, not a stand-alone service. You will work alongside SLPs, BCBAs, infant development specialists, and classroom teachers to support sensory regulation, motor development, and functional skills. The right candidate thinks about the whole child.
We are hiring in more than one configuration:
- Full-time or part-time, permanent
- Temporary coverage for a clinician's ~6-month leave
- Per-diem / substitute OTs welcome
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct standardized and clinical assessments (sensory processing, fine/gross motor, self-regulation, daily living skills); write evaluation reports and treatment plans.
- Deliver individual and small-group therapy aligned to treatment plans and IEP goals; document progress in CentralReach.
- Join case conferences with Speech, ABA, and Infant Development colleagues to build goals that reinforce each other.
- Coach parents and caregivers to carry OT strategies into home and community.
- Support classroom teachers with sensory and motor strategies in daily routines.
- Maintain billing, licensing, and documentation compliance.
SCHEDULE
Monday to Friday, business hours. Part-time schedules are flexible. On-site at 9801 Dublin Blvd, Dublin, CA 94568.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Full-time: $93,000 to $110,000/year, based on experience
- Part-time, temporary, and per-diem: hourly, based on experience
- $5,000 retention bonus after 6 months of continuous service (full-time)
- Medical, dental, vision, disability; 401(k) (benefit-eligible roles)
- Paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays
- Continuing education support
- Training in our integrated care model
- Nature-based campus with outdoor gross-motor spaces
REQUIREMENTS
Required:
- Active California OT license (OTR/L)
- Bachelor's or higher in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program
- Commitment to interprofessional collaboration and evidence-based practice
- Strong written and verbal communication with families and teams
- EHR proficiency (CentralReach preferred, not required)
Preferred:
- 2+ years in pediatric or early childhood settings
- Experience with autism, developmental delays, or sensory processing needs
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Training in sensory integration, NDT, or family-centered early intervention
- IEP and special education experience
This role reports to Charlene Sigman, M.S.Ed., CCC-SLP, Co-Founder & Executive Director. School of Imagination is an equal opportunity employer.
