Adult Transition Program - Instructional Assistant - Substitute/Limited Term

Requirements / Qualifications

Experience: Two years of experience working with students of various age levels requiring a specialized learning environment. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Equivalency: Possession of a high school diploma or its recognized equivalent and one of the following: 1) completion of at least two years of study (minimum 48 semester hours) at an institution of higher education; 2) possession of an associate's (or higher) degree; or 3) passing the District's local assessment that demonstrates the knowledge and the ability to assist in instructing, reading, writing, and mathematics at a level meeting state and federal requirements.

******PLEASE NOTE: This recruitment is for Abraxas High School and is to generate a substitute pool.******* All qualified candidates will be placed on an Eligibility List for six months. This is a 9.5 month position. Candidates who possess a valid and current CA teaching credential, will be placed at Step 6 of the salary range designated for this classification.
