Comments and Other Information
Capital College & Career Academy (CCCA) is a new charter high school rethinking the traditional approach to education to better prepare students for both college and career. Located in one of the most under invested parts of Sacramento our founding team is seeking motivated and dynamic educators who are looking to make a transformative impact on our community. CCCA is an innovative high school with three core elements: hands-on learning in every subject, dual enrollment and work based learning for all students at every grade. CCCA uses the thread of the construction industry as a way to organize its curricular focus. CCCA is fortunate to have the support of the building trades community. That support will be a feature in our school and a pillar for our students. CCCA also sees its ability to participate in the local community as another vital part of its program. We look forward to teachers and students partnering with the local community to make the learning all the more engaging and relevant. Mission Statement: All students will be enrolled in a post-secondary institution or employed within six months of graduation Vision Statement: Our vision is to create an educational environment where students are college accelerated and job prepared. Students will transition into adulthood with the skills and experience required to make a living wage. The curriculum at CCCA will provide a life-changing opportunity for students who, upon graduation will have the real-world experience and the tangible skills that will allow them to succeed not just today but for years down the road.About this opportunity
