School Bus Driver Instructor Supervisor

Requirements / Qualifications

Education and Experience: Graduation from high school or equivalent. Five years of experience operating vehicles requiring a Class A or B commercial driver license, two years of which must include driving a school bus or School Pupil Activity Bus (SPAB). One year of experience training bus drivers, including both classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction, is required. Part-time experience will be considered and adjusted appropriately. Any other combination of training and experience which would likely provide the required skills, knowledge and abilities may be considered. LICENSE AND CERTIFICATE: Must possess and maintain a valid Class A or B California Driver License with a passenger endorsement and remain insurable at the standard insurance market rate. Must possess and maintain a valid School Bus Driver Certificate, with no equipment limitations, issued by the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). Must possess and maintain a valid School Bus Driver Instructor Certificate with no limitations issued by the California Department of Education Office of Student Transportation. Candidates must submit a recent (within the last 30 days) original DMV driving record (K4, DMV Print Out) by the oral rating exam.
