Substitute Teacher Grades Preschool-8th Gen Ed and SDC

Requirements / Qualifications * Valid California Teaching Credential *Current (within four years) TB test/assessment *OCDE Clearinghouse fingerprints *Transcripts *AB2534 for previously worked credentialed jobs Fingerprinting: All individuals seeking employment in any public school district in Orange County, including substitute teaching positions, are required to complete fingerprinting. This includes: Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC): Fingerprinting for the CTC is necessary for obtaining or maintaining your teaching credentials. OCDE Clearing House: Fingerprinting for the OCDE Clearing House is a separate and mandatory requirement for local clearance to work in Orange County public schools. *Regardless of your CTC status, all prospective substitute teachers for public schools in Orange County must still be fingerprinted for the OCDE Clearing House. This is a separate and mandatory requirement for local clearance. TB Tests are good for four years. Please ensure your document is signed and dated by a medical provider and clearly displays your name. • Copy of Transcript • Credential Copy (NOTE: Please submit a screenshot from the CTC of your current credential. The screenshot(s) should include credential description, document number, expiration date, and EL or CLAD (if applicable). Do not submit the certificate version of the credential or an expired credential) • Fingerprint Clearance • TB Screening Result ( test or TB risk assessment) Comments and Other Information If you are selected as a Substitute Teacher candidate, you will be notified via email. Your application will not be considered if the required documents are missing from your application. You will need to provide your state issued ID and your social security card or equivalent at the time of your onboarding. Do not include it with your pre employment information.
