Assistant Cook/Transporter LOC: Cooper Kitchen for Head Start

Requirements / Qualifications ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS: The following information must be received before the deadline date in order for your application to be considered for this position: 1) a completed Ed-Join on-line application form 2) brief resume 3) three (3) recent letters of recommendation (SIGNED and DATED within the last 18 months) SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Food Services Supervisor, perform a variety of duties involved in preparing, transporting and serving food as required for Head Start program activities; clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and facilities. Minimum qualifications: Requires one year experience in a high production kitchen. CERTIFICATIONS/SKILLS: Knowledge of standard kitchen equipment, utensils and measurements; sanitation and safety practices related to cooking and serving food; safe work practices. Ability to operate kitchen equipment used in quantity food preparation; prepare and serve food in accordance with health and sanitation regulations. Ability to follow recipes. Ability to meet the physical requirements necessary to safely and effectively perform the required duties. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Proof of valid CA driver’s license and minimum amount of liability insurance required by law. DMV H-6 printout required. Comments and Other Information IMPORTANT!
